First Conference of African Ministers responsible for Information And Communication Tecnologies

 

The first conference of the ministers responsible for Information and communication and Information technologies of the African Union opened today 18/4/2006 in the Egyptian capital Cairo with the meeting of experts from 18 to 19 of April. The Ministerial conference opens on 20/4/2006.

 

The ICT Ministerial Conference has the following objectives:

Formalize and institutionalize the African Ministerial Conference on ICT

Develop implementation and follow-up mechanisms for the African Regional Action plan on the Knowledge Economy (ARAPKE).

Discuss resources mobilization and capacity building for the implementation of ARAPKE.
