Minister, Jean Ping, has been elected as the new Chairperson

JOURNALISTS ACREDITATION FOR THE TENTH ORDINARY SESSION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE AFRICAN UNION, AVAILABLE
Addis Ababa, 3 January 2008 – Journalists who are interested in covering the 10 th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government billed for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from the 25 January to the 2 nd February 2008, are requested to fill the Media Accreditation Form
Accreditation is open to all journalists, broadcasters, photographers, film and television camera crews and technicians who meet all of the requirements mentioned in the accreditation Form.
Representatives of the audiovisual media are informed that they should submit the list of equipments to the Ethiopian authorities to facilitate the custom clearing operation.
Detail information with regards to the Ethiopian Visa on arrival, custom clearance of audio-visual equipments and related instruments, hotels reservations, security badges etc, are also found on the AU Website.
Meanwhile, access to media facilities will be available only to accredited media representatives.
It is worth recalling that, the 10 th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government would hold under the theme: “Industrial Development of Africa”.
The event has been scheduled as follows:
