Union Sign MoU with ECDPM
A
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was
signed today Friday 18 July 2008, between
the Deputy Chairperson of the African
Union Commission, Dr. Erastus Mwencha
and the Head of Institutional Relations
of the European Centre for Developement
Policy Management (ECDPM),
Mr. Geert Laporte, at the Headquarters
of the African Union in Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.
The
objective of the MoU is to establish
the framework for cooperation between
the AU Commission and the ECDPM
in various areas including capacity
building, institutional developement,
trade and godd governance amongsts others. |

the African Union (AU), Mr. Jean Ping,
is following closely the latest developments
in the situation in Zimbabwe, including
the decision by Zimbabwe's opposition
candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai, to pull
out of the second round of the presidential
election, scheduled to take place on
27 June 2008.
