Phase one will be a Fun Walk on 29th November 2003. The Walk will start at Sidist Kilo (the round-about next to Addis Ababa University main campus), via Arat Kilo, Hilton Hotel, turn right to Filowa Hotel (Fine Fine), on to Ethiopia Hotel, straight on between the Ethiopian Science Commission and Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (Addis Ababa Branch), to Federal Ministry of Health, continue straight to the junction before Police Station number 5, then turn left to Mitchell Cotts, then via Hotel d’Afrique to Mexico Square - on the way home (Commission’s compound). That’s a journey of exactly 7 kilometres.

The Chairperson of the AU Commission has expressed his desire to participate in the Fun Walk. Consequently, the Walk will start at 7.00 a.m. at Sidist Kilo. Buses to take the AU staff and their families to the starting point will be ready at 6.30 a.m. at AU Commission’s compound. You are invited to refreshments in Congo Hall after the Fun Walk.

On the same day, there will be a Football match at the AU stadium. All are invited to the game.

The second phase will take place on 2nd December starting at 3.00 p.m. in the Congo Hall. The Guest of Honour will be H.E. The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Attached is a provisional programme for the day.PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME
